The Hockey Poem

Everyone likes hockey.  We made a poem about hockey and we'll share it with out at the end of our post.  To come up with the poem we thought about things people do in hockey.  We thought about our senses and we made a poem about the sport.  We had fun writing our poem.  We hope you enjoy it!

Hockey

Blades on the ice.
A karate chop.
The smell of sweat,
and smelly socks.
Screaming and cheering
is what you hear.
You feel excited, happy for a goal.
See the puck, be the puck.
Off goes the buzzer...

YOU SHOOT! YOU SCORE!

We would like to show you another poem we wrote ourselves this afternoon.  This poem is about hiccups, and we were inspired by Shylo and Marie because they had the hiccups.

Hiccups!

Bumps!
Big GIANT bubbles!
You hear "eech".
You feel them in your stomach.
You feel them in your throat.
Jump!
They taste like...

Drink some water,
they disappear.
